These premium knife guards are designed to protect you and your employees from accidents involving extremely sharp paper cutting blades. Knife guards are primarily used to cover the blades of 3-knife trimmers when they are not in use or when the blades are being changed. However, they can also be used to cover the edge of virtually any knife during the knife changing process. That being said, a plastic knife guard should not be used in the place of a knife board and are not ideal for use in the transporting of paper cutter knives and blades. A magnetic strip holds the guard securely in place and keeps the knife tip suspended to prevent dulling. Plus, a yellow safety color is added to help remind your operators and employees just how dangerous a sharp cutting blade can be. When ordering plastic knife guards it is important to remember to buy them 1" longer than the knife that you are protecting. Blade guards can be made to order in virtually any length that you require.
